Bizzy Books is a bookkeeping app for small businesses, made by Brad Caldwell ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and why. The short version: your books are yours. We store them so you can access them, we don't sell them, and we don't show you ads.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password, managed by Firebase Authentication (a Google service). As you use the app, you enter business records — transactions, amounts, notes, vendors, customers, projects, vehicles, inventory items and counts, business details (such as your business name, address, and tax identifiers you choose to enter), and optional images such as a company logo. All of this is stored in your account in Google Firebase (Realtime Database, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage) so it syncs to your device and survives reinstalls.
Contacts: if you grant access, the app can autofill a customer's or vendor's name and details from a contact you pick. Only the contacts you select are saved into your records. Location: if you grant access, the app can geo-tag transactions you create. Photos: used only when you choose an image, such as uploading a logo. All permissions are optional, and the app works without them.
The app includes the Firebase SDK, which may collect basic usage and diagnostic data (such as device model, app version, and crash reports) to keep the app reliable. This data is processed by Google under its Firebase privacy terms.
We do not sell your information. We do not share your records with third parties except Google Firebase, which stores data on our behalf. We do not use your financial records for advertising, and the app contains no ads. Sale prices, costs, and tax figures you enter are used only to produce your own reports.
Your records stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete Account); this removes your login and the records stored under your account. You can also email us at caldwbr@gmail.com to request deletion or a copy of your data.
Bizzy Books is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Bizzy Books is a record-keeping tool, not tax, legal, or accounting advice. Figures it produces should be reviewed by a qualified preparer.
